These are 3 images  of the Ring Nebula (M57).  I took the first, a color shot, with a consumer digital camera (my Canon A40).  I took the second (much sharper!) and the third with a dedicated astronomical CCD camera (only black and white, SBIG ST-237a). The first two were obtained using a 6" Newtonian telescope, the third one using a Maksutov-Cassegrain (Mak, for short) 5" telescope.  The fourth was obtained using my new color CCD (orion Starshoot).
