GCM 211 Graphic Communications An overview of the market segments using the technologies of printing, publishing, packaging, electronic imaging, and their allied industries.

GCM 212 Graphic Communications Lab Laboratory activities supporting GCM 211.

GCM 316 Graphic Communications II A background study of the photographic processes of line, halftone and special effects negatives and possitives as a basis for image setter output. Image assembly, plate preparation and offset presswork are studied in detail.

TEC 315 Photography Emphasis on black and white film photography including the use and care of equipment, exposure calculations and techniques, and finishing. Credit will not be awarded to students who have college credit in another photography course. A 35mm camera with adjustable lens and shutter controls is required.

BTO 100 Academic Orientation An orientation to university academic life and career planning and preparation. Topics include university policies and procedures, program requirements, career opportunities, and introductory study skills. Open to all students during their first two semesters of enrollment at EKU; beyond that open to students in fewer than 30 semester hours earned.

GSO 100 Academic Orientation An orientation to university academic life and career planning and preparation. Topics include university policies and procedures, program requirements, career opportunities, and introductory study skills. Open to all students during their first two semesters of enrollment at EKU; beyond that open to students in fewer than 30 semester hours earned.

GCM 211 Graphic Communications Lecture/Lab. An overview of the market segments using the technologies of printing, publishing, packaging, electronic imaging, and their allied industries.

GCM 319 Printing Processes An overview of imaging including offset, screen, gravure, flexographic and digital printing processes. Emphasis will be given to the printed product, image carrier reparation, press systems and mechanics, inks, and substrates.

CTE 801 Occupational Training Methods An examination and development of training methods in occupational programs. Course content will include an analysis of learning, student and occupational needs, objectives, syllabi and lesson preparation and a discussion of teaching methods.
