Evaluation in
Career and Technical Education
Lesson Ten
(PART II)
As discussed in Lesson Nine, knowledge of basic
statistics is useful for analyzing and improving tests. Precision is added to
the evaluation process through proper use of statistics. Evaluation efforts
need this precision. During this lesson, you will learn to apply other simple
statistical techniques to the evaluation process. These techniques are also
helpful in assessing test results and improving instruction. The terms used,
such as percentiles and correlation, become part of the basic
vocabulary used by teachers
as part of the evaluation process.
