I earned my Ph.D. at the
University of South Carolina's Department of Biological Sciences
in 1995. My background is in Ecology, Evolution, and Organismic
Biology (EEOB), and I have also been trained in various aspects
of molecular biology (DNA isolation, PCR, RFLP analysis, etc). My
dissertation research involved analysis of the effects of
interspecific hybridization and inbreeding on developmental
stability of deermouse species. My advisor was Dr. Wallace D.
Dawson, Director of the Peromyscus Genetic Stock Center. I joined
the EKU faculty in August of 1995. My undergreaduate degree (1989) in Biology is from Columbus State University in Columbus, GA. OTHER ACTIVITIES:
Pre-Med Academic Advisor
Member of the University Medical Advisory Committee
