Lead ITV Facilitator and IT Liaison

For instructors to teach all across the state of Kentucky, Interactive Television (ITV) is a way to bridge distant EKU classrooms together via IP-based videoconferencing. I ensure that the necessary equipment functions correctly, monitor the class locally, and distribute or collect assignments for the instructor and ensure their delivery. Additionally, I prepared semester schedules for the part-time and student ITV facilitators to cover ITV classes throughout each week. As the Danville Campus's assigned IT Liaison, I work closely with EKU IT personnel to keep the campus's technology operating properly. I assist students in the computer labs, when needed, with Microsoft Office, EKU Direct, Blackboard, and email access and assist students with accessing EKU's wireless network. I keep the EKU Danville website updated (www.danville.eku.edu). Also, before the beginning of each semester, I handle the technology section of the New Student Orientation by assisting groups of students with activating their email, EKU Direct, and showing each student how to log-in, print, and properly save documents to their network drive.

ResNet is the residential network service provided by UK Housing in all residence halls and apartments on UK's campus. Through UK ResNet, each room is equipped with a cable television connection as well as network connections for each student. I provided telephone and on-site technical support for the Internet connection in a UK student's on-campus room or apartment.
