Nelson is currently Adjunct Professor of Saxophone at Eastern Kentucky University,
teaching applied lessons and directing the EKU Saxophone Quartet and Saxophobia,
the university's jazz saxophone ensemble. He also teaches courses in jazz
improvisation, symphonic literature, and American popular music. In addition,
Larry teaches music history courses at the University of Kentucky.

rhythm. It was recorded by University of Kentucky's Mega-Sax on their

Star-Spangled Banner, arranged for saxophone quartet; recorded by

recreates the Jimmy Blanton solo.
