Red Eyed Tree Frog

 

 

* They come from the rainforests of Costa Rica in Central America.

* Some people believe their eyes are a form of protection called "startle coloration".

* They eat flies, moths, grasshoppers, and other small frogs.

* These frogs sleep during the day, and hunt for prey at night.

* Males are normally 2.5 inches long, whereas females are up to 3 inches long and have more girth.
