Research

·         Thesis research into transfer of learning involving engineering faculty and professional practices.  Investigation involved past graduates of the program, and their transfer from the training to classroom and professional development.

·         Principal investigator for a grant titled “Using the Assessment Center Technique to Foster Classroom Excellence” awarded by the Provost’s initiative on teaching advancement, University of Illinois.  This project utilized teacher observation in large required engineering classes to improve the teacher’s skills and provide the undergraduate student with a positive experience in engineering classes at the University.
