FINAL (LOGIC) EXAM and SCHEDULE - FALL 2000

There will be two parts to the exam; both parts are open-notes.  Before you come to the exam Wed or Thu, you can confer with others all you wish!

1) Essay question: compare and contrast the virtues account of a good argument with Socrates' account of the virtues of a just person or society (or both if you wish).  Aim at 1-2  pages, which you can prewrite and turn in at the exam, or write during the exam.

2) In-class: examples to diagram only; examples to diagram and identify argument forms (if any) and identify and explain fallacies; general evaluation of how good an argument is.
